Gugudan’s Kim Sejeong To Sing OST For “Mr. Sunshine”

Kim Sejeong joins the lineup of artists for Mr. Sunshine‘s OST!

The thrilling saga of tvN’s Mr. Sunshine will be heightened with emotions as Kim Sejeong of South Korean girl group Gugudan lends her voice to the official soundtrack of the drama.

Kim is set to feature on the 13th track originally produced for the drama. Titled “Lover”, the upcoming song will be released on local digital music platforms on September 16 at 6 p.m. KST.

The singer’s husky and sentimental voice and delicate expression of emotion will be partnered by a piano melody to perfectly portray the heartbreaking lyrics of the song that will heighten the grief-stricken situations of the drama’s characters.

“Lover” will mark the second drama OST Kim released as a solo artist. In 2017, she participated in the OST of The Legend of the Blue Sea with “If Only”.

Aside from Kim, NU’EST W, Baek Ji Young, MeloMance, Lee Su Hyun of Akdong Musician, and other singers have taken part in the OST of Mr. Sunshine which is now on its second to the final week.

The drama, which is praised for its superb cinematography and gripping story line, is expected to run for a total of 24 episodes. Last week, it recorded its highest viewership rating since its premiere in July. It recorded 16.5 percent for its 20th episode — almost twice the viewership rating of its first episode.
